Hey Kiddo,
Seems your father is very anxious about you being on the way. To be honest, I'm not really sure why. He's done a great job with Alexander, he's great with kids in general, and he's been looking forward to having someone like you on the way for a long time.
The day I told him my doctor had confirmed I was pregnant, he kind of spent the rest of the evening breathing heavily and randomly giggling. I thought it was utterly hilarious, but that's because I know what a great dad he is and is going to be. He really wants to do right by you.
Something about having kids makes a parent take a really hard look at themselves in the mirror. They see all of their faults and short comings and think "I don't want him/her to turn out like me". So, it's not just the idea of bringing a precious, adorable little baby into the world that is daunting, but all the self re-modeling involved, too. Perhaps that is what he's more nervous about.
Either way, I still think it's kind of cute to watch him going a little crazy. It shows he cares. The more you will watch people, the more logic you will see behind their actions. It is not necessarily "logical" logic so much as it is "behavioral" logic, once you know the reasons behind the actions, everything makes sense.
So, to put it simply, your father is going crazy because he loves you. I laugh at his craziness because I have faith in him. And we both are doing our best to take care of you.
